Usage tips
Welcome to our guide on tips for using the PF Led ONE V16 beacon!
Thank you for trusting us and purchasing your PF LED ONE connected V16 light. We hope this device provides you with the safety and peace of mind you need on the road. Please feel free to contact us if you need any help or further advice.

How does the PF Led ONE V16 beacon work?
The mechanism that activates the approved V16 beacon is very simple. The PF Led ONE V16 connected beacon is turned on with a simple twist of the casing. After 100 seconds, it starts transmitting its location signal via GPS. At the moment it connects to the DGT, the beacon emits a double flash. The geolocation of this V16 beacon is practically instantaneous, which shortens the response time of roadside assistance services compared to traditional tools and methods.
When should we use the PF Led ONE V16 connected light?
The V16 beacon should be used in the event of a breakdown or accident to notify the position of our immobilized vehicle on the road.
We must keep in mind that from 2026 onwards, the only valid V16 beacons will be those connected to the DGT 3.0 platform, as is the case with the PF LED ONE beacon you have purchased. Thanks to the geolocation feature of this beacon, the DGT will be able to warn drivers traveling on roads where a breakdown or accident has occurred, thus reducing the risk of being run over and potential chain accidents. The information transmitted by the DGT is displayed through variable message signs (VMS) located on the roads. Likewise, thanks to this connected V16 device, the DGT will be able to alert emergency services, which will be responsible for addressing any incidents that occur on the roads.

Who should use the connected V16 beacon?
Starting January 1, 2026 all drivers will be required to replace emergency triangles with a connected V16 light, except in the case of mopeds and motorcycles.
Although the use of the V16 is not mandatory for motorcycles, it is recommended since it is the only compact-sized accident prevention tool or method that allows you to notify the authorities in case of a breakdown or accident.
How does PF Rescue work?
Have you had an accident or breakdown on the road with your vehicle? If you need extra help from your insurance company or towing service, with the PF RESCUE mobile app you can contact your insurer, find nearby workshops, or even call 112.
PF RESCUE is an application that allows PF LED ONE beacon users to immediately connect with their insurance company, emergency services, and access a wide range of motor-related products and services (nearby workshops, towing services, contacting the police, providing the exact location of the vehicle, etc.).
With PF RESCUE you will have, in a single app, the connection you need to request any kind of assistance in the event of an accident or breakdown on the road.

Usage tips for the PF Led ONE V16 beacon:
- 01. First, do not leave the vehicle unless absolutely necessary. Take the beacon out of its case. Turn the upper dome to the ON position and check that it flashes once per second. After approximately 100 seconds, the beacon will emit a double flash. This means it has connected to the DGT.
- To store the V16 beacon in the vehicle, it is recommended to place it somewhere within easy reach, such as the front glove compartment, cup holder, or side glove compartment of the vehicle.
- Once turned on, lower the window and, without leaving the vehicle, extend your arm out and place your V16 on the roof at driver’s height. When placing the beacon on the roof, make sure it does not move.
- Combine the PF Led ONE V16’s own light with the vehicle’s hazard lights to increase visibility.
- Keep the beacon clean and free from dirt to ensure maximum effectiveness. Remember that once turned on, its duration is approximately 2 hours.
- When you finish using the beacon, clean it and make sure to replace the battery with a new one if you have used it for more than 15 minutes. Store it in an accessible place.
- If you feel that the battery of your PF Led ONE V16 is not at 100%, we recommend always carrying a spare 9V battery. You never know when another emergency may occur, so it’s better to be prepared.
- Lastly, be mindful of other drivers and use the V16 beacon only when necessary.
What makes PF Led ONE V16 different from other beacons?
- Innovative design made in Spain. Thanks to its elevated LED design, the PF Led ONE V16 becomes the only geolocated V16 beacon visible on vehicles with side roof bars. This elevation also ensures that under adverse weather conditions, such as snow, the lamp will not be immediately covered.
- Dual mounting system, magnetic and adhesive. Another feature that sets this geolocated emergency light apart from other options on the market is its vehicle mounting system. It adheres using magnets. Erum Vial, the manufacturer of this innovative beacon, has also considered vehicles with glass, plastic, or carbon roofs, including a double-sided adhesive disc that allows attachment to all types of surfaces. A great advantage even for motorcyclists.
- The only geolocated V16 emergency light that cares about the environment. Erum Vial, the Road Safety division of Erum Group, also considered environmental protection when developing this V16. Its exclusive ECO version, called PF Led ONE ECO Black, becomes the first connected V16 beacon on the market made from recycled plastic, created with a dual purpose: to protect drivers on the roads and also the environment.
- Guaranteed quality. As mentioned earlier, PF Led ONE V16 is a product manufactured in Spain under strict quality standards. Erum Vial, a leading manufacturer in the automotive, retail, horeca, and food sectors, among others, holds numerous ISO certifications that guarantee the quality of its Connected V16, as well as full compliance with European Union manufacturing standards and requirements. The PF Led ONE V16 beacon comes with an official 12-year product warranty and includes connectivity until 2038.
- PF RESCUE mobile app. Through this application developed by Erum Vial, which operates independently from the beacon, the driver can access relevant information such as traffic updates, contact their insurance company, connect to Google Maps, track the tow truck, or access a range of premium services related to their vehicle, obtain offers, and discounts…
