FAQ's

Emergency lights for cars will become mandatory starting in January 2026. From that date, it will be mandatory to have emergency lights in the vehicle and use them when necessary in the event of an accident or breakdown on the road. Currently, using them is optional instead of warning triangles, and is a recommendation from the authorities in Spain.

Currently, there are several emergency lights approved by the DGT (Directorate General of Traffic) and that meet all the requirements. Here’s the DGT page with the approved beacons: V16 Pre-signaling Devices

The LEDONE Connected beacon, formerly known as the PF Led ONE V16, was one of the first to be approved by the DGT.

The average price of an approved V16 emergency light is €50 per unit when purchased separately. The price depends on the design, technology, and materials used. The LEDONE Connected emergency light costs €49.95 per unit, sold separately.

There are several emergency lights that meet all the requirements for approval and functionality. The LEDONE Connected light, in addition to meeting all requirements, is a device made from recycled materials, thus respecting the environment. It’s also the tallest beacon on the market, improving visibility in any situation. An ideal option for improving road safety.

The hazard warning light is designed for use in the same situations as emergency triangles, i.e., in the event of an accident or breakdown on the road. The purpose of this device is to prevent accidents by signaling the vehicle’s location, thereby alerting other vehicles and the authorities if necessary.

Geolocation is only activated when the V16 beacon is connected and operating. The purpose of knowing the vehicle’s location is to be able to inform other vehicles via roadside displays and to dispatch emergency personnel if necessary.

Although both devices can be used from now until January 1, 2026, the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) and the Civil Guard recommend using the V16 connected emergency light.

This is due to the performance of this light, which provides increased safety due to its features. The LEDONE Connected light is visible from 1 km away, is resistant to adverse weather conditions, has a dual mounting system, and other features that make it a unique device.
